PADI Advanced Open Water
The PADI Advanced Open Water Course builds on the skills learnt during Open Water. You don't need to be an advanced diver to start the course, it's designed to advance your dive training.
It gives you the chance to try out different specialities and provides the skills needed to adventure further! You’ll complete 5 adventure dives over the weekend that will expand your scuba skills make you a more confident and capable diver.
You'll complete a deep dive, learn to navigate underwater and complete three additional adventure dives from: dry suit, underwater photography, drift dive off a boat, full face mask, peak performance buoyancy, wreck dive and SMB.

- Pool Sessions
- Open Water Dives

The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course can be completed in a number of ways:
- 1 weekend
- 2 weekdays
Prerequisites
The prerequisites for you to enroll on the course are:
- The minimum age to participate in Advanced Open Water is 12.
- Divers aged 15+ earn the full qualification.
- Divers aged 12-14 earn a Junior Advanced Open Water
Course Locations
The course will be completed in open water lakes:
- Wraysbury Lake
- Stoney Cove
- Vobster
- Leybourne Lake
Course Costs
The £395 course fee includes theory, logbook, kit hire, tank fills, lake training and certification. Note: this does not include lake entry.

After completion on your PADI advanced open water course, you may be thinking, whats next? One of PADIs most rewarding courses is the PADI Rescue Diver Course, which is all focused on the response in an emergency situation and how to pre-emt prevent accidents and emergencies happening in the first place. Or you may be intrigued to explore the Tech or CCR route which extends both your depths and bottom times.
